Location is excellent! The hotel room was everything you need it to be - clean, quiet and had a beautiful view of the port. The decor does Scottish heritage proud - keep up the good work!

It was clean and lovely. Very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious. We really liked being on the street level. Room 130 at Number is great. We would stay there again if go back to Scotland. Well done!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at New Town Hotel. Service from booking through to the moment we left was 1st class! The rooms are all refurbished to a very high standard, including underfloor heating. The bathroom was amazing with a stand-alone bath! Breakfasts were superb (the omelettes were to die for!!) All staff were very obliging and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely stay there again!

Very warm and comfortable, no real complaints at all. Staff very helpful and friendly. Location excellent. My only suggestion would be to provide a better choice at breakfast - full breakfast is far too large for us and few choices otherwise. Only white bread is provided for toast, perhaps some decent wholemeal or seeded bread could be provided?

Excellent value for money. I stayed during the week on a short stay.The location is fantastic. This place has been decorated beautifully, it was very clean. The staff were really helpful and friendly. I heard a bit of noise from outside during the night but that can’t be helped. Breakfast was really good. I would definitely stay here again and have told a lot of people about this place already..

VERY nice, friendly and helpful staff, big room, great location, very good value for money at this time of the year (February) ,... We would definately come back again ! (Only downside : Only sheer curtains in the bathroom)

The New Town Hotel was perfect for our theatre trip. Great location, with a warm, spotless, comfortable, spacious room, comfy beds, and a luxury bathroom. The staff were all welcoming and helpful, and the cooked breakfast was excellent. Thank you for a lovely stay.

beautiful property with lots of character, lovely room with lovely bathroom with deep stand alone tub. Would ask for this room the next time or similar one, nice touches were chocs at reception, tissues in the room good electrical points for straightners, nice bed linen comfy bed, fan in room, plenty quality toiletries. Only one negative I need to feedback and that is the £100 deposit which I had taken from my card. This is completely unnecessary and I have NEVER in my life had to do this with any other hotel and we holiday every month and have overnight stays in between. I check out yesterday, this is now Friday and I have not received my cash back! looks like Monday at the earliest. Just don't comprehend this practice at all and this could be off putting if I want to return to the hotel. I have put on a good review on trip advisor and mentioned this. Customers don't like this practice at all, as I say very off putting.

The room was very spacious and clean. The tea and biscuits were replenished every day. Only downside was the room was extremely warm and we were unable to turn the temperature down but otherwise a brilliant stay

We enjoyed every little bit of it. Location was superb and really close to main strip, shopping centre and Christmas markets, all within 5 minute walk tops. Room was outstanding and when we come back to Edinburgh we will be stopping here again.

Room was lovely and comfortable and location was excellent. Only thing I did not lik3 was having to pay extra for breakfast, I think this should have been included in price.

Very convenient central location, helpful and friendly staff. Our large room was clean and warm. The bathroom was cold to start with but maintenance staff checked it and found the under floor heating had been turned off and rectified it. We will certainly use the hotel again when we visit Edinburgh.

Visited Edinburgh for the first time and had a great stay at New Town Hotel. Location is fantastic , close to St Andrew Square Station and 5-10 min walk to Waverly Bridge. Rooms were in good standard, overall impression was excellent! Would definitely recommend!
