What time is check-in and check-out?
Check in at New Town Hotel is available from 2pm and check-out is at 11am. If the room is ready earlier, we will be happy to check you in before this time. If not, you can leave us your mobile number and we will call you to let you know as soon as your room is available.

Yes, reception at New Town Hotel is open 24 hours, giving guests support throughout their stay in Edinburgh’s New Town. This also means late arrivals can be accommodated if you are travelling to the city later in the evening.
Can I leave my luggage before check-in/after check out?
Yes, guests are welcome to leave luggage with us before check-in or after check-out, free of charge. This makes it easier to enjoy Edinburgh before your room is ready, or make the most of the city after you check out.

New Town Hotel is located on York Place in Edinburgh’s historic New Town, in the city centre. The hotel is close to St James Quarter, Edinburgh Playhouse, Princes Street, restaurants, shops and the city’s main transport links.
How do I get to the hotel?
New Town Hotel is located on York Place in Edinburgh’s New Town and is easy to reach by train, tram, car or airport bus.
Trams are one of the easiest ways to get to and from the airport with fast and frequent services to Edinburgh city centre. Trams depart every 7 minutes, between 7am and 7pm, and every 10 minutes out with these hours, with an end-to-end journey of just 30 minutes. A ticket to the airport is £7.90 (or £9.50 return) and you can buy this at every tram stop.

New Town Hotel does not have its own private car park, but there is pay per hour parking on a first come first served basis in front of the hotel (this is free between 6.30pm and 8am).
